How Slow Can You Go? Turtle Power

The husband is a huge fan of turtles, so when I saw these little guys on Amazon, I knew I had to snap them up.  Eventually, they'll be swimming along our blue bedroom walls.  But for now they're happily paddling through pink.

Years ago, I got the husband this Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle action figure, to commemorate our shared love of Leonardo:

On our first date, we discovered that we both admired Leo's laidback, level-headed vibe.  Unlike Raphael, Leo got things done without being a jerk.  And unlike Michelangelo, he could be chill without being a slacker.

So maybe there's power in being the calm.  And in taking it easy, just like the tortoise and the hare (and the Eagles) taught us.

As a procrastinator, I guess I can attest to that.

Because I bought these turtles three years ago.

So funny about the turtles- I certainly did not expect that ending that you bought them 3 years ago. They are actually very cute and I'm sure they will be a nice addition to your blue walls in your bedroom.

Oh, the turtles! How cool! Oh, I think of how many Ninja Turtles we have had over the years. Someone I know ran away from home when he didn't get his latest Ninja Turtle. Actually, he had the whole neighborhood kids looking for him. We were afraid he'd gone off to the pond where we had spotted Cotton Mouth snakes (Later he would have a fetish for the Cotton Mouthed Kings) in the water earlier that summer. No luck there. Somebody was sitting on the roof of the house just laughing at us. He might as well have been Leo the jerk.>>>sorry I couldn't help myself. In other news I have a sore throat and won't be on staff today at the library. I have taken 3 Covid tests but still negative. The first one I had no idea what I'm doing, but I think I can take one really quickly now.

Love the sea turtles! There is a sea turtle crochet pattern I wish I could make..if I could figure out the pattern. Love turtles, yet I don't think I could have a pet turtle. Lovely treasures 💗💗💗💗💗

Such a great collection! Oh, the pink ocean. LOVE IT!

Well, when I awoke in the middle of the night and felt I couldn't sleep..I found myself giving myself a COVID test. Oh, how I wished I had studied up on it more. Although, I still got a negative. It seems with the heat, has stirred up more colds too. So I hope that's what this is. Thankfully, we do have free Covid tests at the library. We have had a lot coming in for them this week too.

The way you framed the turtles is so creative and cute!!! Looks awesome with the hot pink background. That's adorable that you and your husband both share a love for Leonardo, and discovered that on your first date. I agree; there's definitely power in being the calm!

Thanks, Samantha! I can't take credit for framing the turtles, though. That was all Amazon. :)

I did test positive for COVID. I took the test twice because I couldn't believe it. I don't feel too bad. But it's also an all day thing being on the phone of people who say they are going to help..get a phone number just to be told...sorry we can't help you. Still waiting to see if I get in. It's something I have to do because of work, too. Always something. But at least I got to post this today.
