There's a new Progressive commercial about vacations, maybe you've seen it.  The hook is how so few of us ever get time to recharge.  Flo jokes that this harried woman needs a vacation, and the woman responds by saying things like, oh, you mean when I'm driving to work and a song I like comes on the radio?  And Flo's like, no, a vacation, when you go away and take pictures and whatever.  And the woman says, oh, never had one.  To which Flo admits, me neither.

I can relate -- and I'm sure lots of you can too.  Especially because my version of a vacay is dressing like I'm going on one.  So I was excited to haul out my old palm-and-pineapple heels and new bathing beauties bag.  Fancy bags for everyday use, it seems, are having a moment.  Which I love because it jives with my every-fit's-a-celebration philosophy.  That's why this little piece of the pool is such a jewel to me.

And why, even when I can't get out of town, I relax and go with the Flo.

Your post made me smile. Yes, I feel I am on the go around town too. Love your bags and so many other bright things in your beautiful post! It seems I will get a staycation coming up in September..that is if I get through the first week and doctor appointments, etc.
Funny thing, not even my PCM wanted to talk to me, but sometimes, I need to touch base to see if he agrees what other doctors have said. My MRI has led me to Ortho again. Although, I was hoping my doctor would have taken care of that. Thankfully, all is good with the diabetic stuff..but the doctor wanted me to go back for an anxiety referral. Ugh..it's terrible getting old and to feel I might be asking for too much. I do need a staycation. Wishing you a beautiful new month ahead. Thanks for being so inspiring. I might need to look for something colorful to wear. I had found some beautiful floral recently on a thrift spree..although, I really need to take them because they are so roomy. Thanks again for being here! 💗💗💗💗💗💗🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Oh, such a wonderful post. Yes, these days I just want to drive around and listen to Benson Boone's American Heart! So many brilliant colors and very inspiring outfits! Love it! 💕❤️💛💕💛❤️ Oh, thank you for your comments! I gotta admit, everytime I would see "Dakota's" faceclaim I kept thinking what you were thinking. I don't know how many people I meet these days in customer service that as we talk it finally hits me..oh...oh..oh ohoh..and yet I don't want to go there since I want to treat them as a person hoping to help them find what they need at the library. Meanwhile..I finally got around to a few of my other little stories, as well. And I do want to write more of the Kat Story. Lately, I have found myself lulling through Build the Band..which I wouldn't have watched if it hadn't been for Midnight til Morning boy band..which are not the usual kind of boy bands I watch. Thankfully, my favorite didn't bring the drama. My least favorite (a rogue Harry Styles type) is definitely the drama king. ❤️❤️❤️❤️💛💛💛💛🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🫠🫠🫠🍄🍄🍄🍄🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈 Thanks again for so much! Wishing you a wonderful September not so far away!

You look adorable in all your outfits - vacation or not. I LOVE the shoes from Chinese Laundry- Living near the Jersey Shore must be vacation-like? My cousin took a staycation at a fancy hotel about 5 miles from home. They went mid-week and enjoyed two nights.
