Something New and Sparkly: Fiery Felt Fiesta

 Fabulous Felt Taco Night Necklace

Sweater: The Limited
Skirt: Macy's
Shoes: MetroStyle
Bag: Marshalls
Leggings: Marshalls
Hat: Apt. 9, Kohl's

A few things about this Fabulous Felt Taco Night Necklace:

1)  Its color scheme was loosely based on that of this marzipan:

I say loosely because it wasn't until after I completed the necklace that I noticed its similarity to the candy.

2)  It illustrates my idealized version of Mexican food, which is to say that it does not include beans of any kind.  Although it does include chili peppers, which I don't like either.  (I couldn't help adding them; I needed something red to balance the taco and avocado.)  So much for that theory.

3)  It makes me think of summer, which is handy at a time when all the gluttony-endorsing pre-holiday commercials screaming "Spend more!  Eat more!"  have been replaced by the judgmental ones ordering us to do our taxes and go on diets.  It's times like these when felt comes to the rescue.

LOVE THE SKIRT!!!!!

And are they big square rhinestones or plates on the bag?

Thanks! I actually wore it yesterday, along with the double of this necklace that I made for myself.

To answer your question, those are big rhinestones on the bag.
