So, this was the first week of fall.  And a funny thing happened.  Instead of saying, it's still hot, I'll keep wearing fruits and flowers until the first frost, I reached for plaids and corduroy.  The resulting fits were even brighter than some of my summer ensembles, making me wonder, wait, do I like fall?

I was as gobsmacked as you are.

It just goes to show that you can always grow.  Even if it means finally admitting that you loved something all along.

. . . are two of my favorite things.  And both happen to hail from Hawaii.  At least they do per the state license plate, especially the rainbow.  Anyway, feasting on this most golden of fruits beneath bands of color seems magical.  So that's the mood I'm going for.

That said, I made the Fruit and Foliage Necklace entirely from bits and baubles in my supply stash.  Initially, the pineapple charms seemed doomed due to their chipped crowns.  But I added crystals, making them, in my humble opinion, even more royal.  Because you know what they say.  Necessity is the mother of invention.

Just as rain is the mother of rainbows.

It seems like it's always time for the primaries.  But before you can say, "Tote Trove Lady, are you crazy?  You can't make jokes like that in today's political climate!," I'll say this: I'm only crazy about color, especially red, yellow, and blue -- the trio, triumvirate, and trifecta that give way to every other hue in the rainbow.

I love how primary colors mix to make everything from green trees to purple grapes to orange sunsets.  Also, how they morph into Snow White, Wonder Woman, and Wonder Bread with a whirl of the gown, cape, or circusy circles.

And that's why I wear them so often and am wearing them today.

Magical, memorable, and, dare I say, matriarchal.

That's the power of primaries.

Even if I was tempted to say the power of Pine-Sol instead.
