How Great is this Magazine Cover?

I don't usually read jewelry-making magazines. Partly because I'm not good at following directions, partly because I'd rather come up with my own ideas. But this cover was so fun and tropical (That necklace! That flower! That dress! ), that I couldn't help but leaf through. A lot of jewelry-making magazines tend to be kind of, well, stodgy (which, come to think of it, is another reason why I avoid them). But not this one. The pages explode with colorful pieces crafted to appeal to the artsy fashionista.

Still, I couldn't be cajoled into committing to any of the projects. Too exact. Too many details. Too many opportunities for me to hurl my pliers at the TV.

Our other Borders is selling out. (Bye, bye, Love and BOO-HOO!) So, of course I was there to scarf up some last minute reads and memorabilia. I saw a couple o' things by this author and thought of you! Go HERE, quick like a bunny!

Our Borders is on its last leg also, which is a sad thing. I'm glad you found some good finds at yours. And thanks for the link about the Naughty Secretary's Club book! I'd heard of it before and was intrigued but never got around to reading it. I'll have to put it back on my list.

When I started making jewellery to sell about 2008/2009, I started buying bead books. Mainly for the helpful tidbits they had inside. I even sent my jewellery in to one and got them in and was paid for it. The mag went bust and I started buying a few others, one being the mag you've pictured. I only bought one, and, like you, picked it for the cover. It got too expensive to keep buying them so I stopped and just kept the ones with the most beneficial articles. And with my jewellery of course.

Wow. That's really impressive that your jewelry was featured in a magazine!
