Exposed Seams and Bold Color Schemes: Living Life on the Wedge

Top: So, Kohl's

The exposed seam trend has been big this season.  So when I spotted this baby tee on a Kohl's crawl at the beginning of the summer, I thought, yes.  Yet at twenty-something dollars, it seemed overpriced.  So I bided my time and recently snagged it for just four dollars.  There's something kind of '90s about it, don't you think? (A little too ironic, yet I really do think!)

Here are some other bargains I scored, although only the chair art was as cheap as the tee.  The blouse was seven dollars, and the shoes were close to thirty.  I ordered all the wearables online; if you've been out and about in the brick and mortars, then you already know it's slim pickins'!

Top: New York & Company

Wall art: Michaels

Shoes: Sugar, Kohl's

And just because I'm not done playing yet, here's a digitally enhanced pic from my craft room:

There's yet another nod to the '90s here in the form of this melted Coke bottle sand art.  Who else has one of these haunting her house?!

Until next time, friends, aloha!

Your post titles are so clever and boy did you get some bargains at Kohls. $4 is amazing. My husbands shops the clearance at Kohls and does really well too. Personally, I don't find things that work for me in clothes at Kohls! I keep looking because all your outfits are so cute and I know many of your items are from Kohls.

I am so glad you could get that blouse for 4 bucks. Those are my kind of sales! Usually, Target is my place to go for clearance. But I rarely do that often. I did find a few tops that I think I can use for summer and winter. Love the colors. So love the last picture too. So cool!>>>>>>>>>>>> Oh, I just had to bring Cyrus back into the story..and maybe Melvin too...=)

Four dollars?! You really know how to shop. I am the kind of person who buys things the day before they go on sale. Same thing happens when I fill the gas tank in my car. The next day, I guarantee you, gas prices will fall. I like the exposed seam look here. My mother used to sew, and she made things with exposed seams and I really liked them. Nice assortment you have here.

That first top is so awesomely '90s!!! What a bargain you got it for, too. Good things do come to those who wait! (Love the Alanis tie-in you did there!) The stripe top is so cute, as are the shoes and the wall art! The photo of your craft room is so cool; the way you have your barrettes arranged is magical and I totally remember the Coke bottle sand art!!! I haven't seen one in so long! :)

I just started following you on Instagram. Did you say you only joined a month ago? and you have already 730 posts? I joined a long time ago but never posted. I've just started about 2 weeks ago to really do one a day. I better do more than that I guess. Your outfits and accessories look great each in its' own box!! Love it.

Ah...bottled sand art. Still around after all these years. I used to make pickled grannies instead.
