I tried tie dying exactly one tee shirt as a kid, for school or maybe a Brownie badge.  I chose orange and yellow, and it came out pale and blotchy, not at all like the vibrant colors and patterns I saw on tie-dyed clothes at the mall.  But then, I was never one for exacting arts and crafts -- I bombed at gimp weaving, sewing, and ceramics -- gravitating toward the more forgiving activities of drawing and jewelry making.  I wanted to make things that didn't limit my imagination with dropped stitches or clay that wouldn't stick due to a lack of that watery glue known, oddly, as slip.  Any endeavor with relentless rules -- and only one answer -- might as well be math.

That said, I've always loved the look of tie dye.  So whenever I see it, I like to stock up.  All of this stuff is old except the dress, which I just had to have despite the impending cool weather.

Just like I had to have those Brownie badges to make an oh-so-colorful sash.

Camping soon cured me of that scheme.

your outfits are great and the purple boots are over the top. I've never dyed anything,, not even tie Dye..it always seemed too messy to me but then again I never was into crafts or making things. Love the yellow , white, and blue skirt.

Oh..wow..funny that you speak of tie-dye..this woman had the most beautiful sweatshirt (a patron at the library today) She did it herself..she did it with drizzling bleach (toilet bleach which I guess it a bit heavier than the usual bleach. It really has such a wonderful fall look to it..it was dark blue and some of the colors were not so white. It was so cool. Now if I can find a sweat-shirt in my closet...

Oh, and your blue boots make me think of Madonna's in Desperately Seeking Susan (One of my all-time favorite movies!)

Such a lovely post. So many wonderful outfits! You ROCK!

Such radiant tie-dye outfits! Loving the Hippy choker too!

Oh, those days of tie-dye. Basically at best a messy outdoor activity. Although, I never seemed to get the right colors. And some things turned out better than others. So like you, if I see it now..I better just get it. Hope your weekend was sunny and Fallish. More leaves seem to be turning here. Cooler too.

Wow, love how you put these outfits together. Such cool shoes and booties too! Such a lovely post! Great tie-dye. Are you ready for Halloween? Oh, I think I have overthought too much and probably should just reflect. After all, November is coming.

All the best to your creativity🍂💕🍂

Such a great post❤❤❤ I love the chocker so much❤❤❤ Enjoying the tie-dye too!

I survived another weekend at the library. It wasn't busy. Although, a lot of hush-hush stuff is going on. Like someone is quitting. Someone has been suspended. Oh, and I had to quickly find the Cruella DVD at Walmart to replace the one from AMAZON ..cause they sent us REGION 0 (which does not work in old DVD players evidently) We are strictly REGION 1 here after all.

These days are gradually turning into sweater weather. Wishing you lots of Halloween fun.

So exiting to see what lovely outfits you have. Beautiful tie-dye. Oh how I wish I was better at these sort of things. These days, for a small fortune you can get the kits at the craft store. But somehow..I'm old school and you know, you just can't find those packets of dye at the grocery store anymore. Must be bad for the environment..or not that many hippy girl teens around..obviously.

All the best to your creativity! & Autumn Adventures!

You look fabulous in tie dye!!! I love how each tie dye print you're wearing is totally different - the horizontal denim, white and yellow is super cool! The fringe sequin purse looks so glam with the heeled boots. And that choker!!!! The butterflies...awww, it's so gorgeous! Last but not least, the color blocks of the Delia's purse pairs perfectly with your top and the citrus brooch. You're totally right: "Any endeavor with relentless rules -- and only one answer -- might as well be math." Bingo!!! I'd take drawing and jewelry making any day!

I'm the same, haven't tie died anything since school, and even then we had help from the teacher leading the weekly activity. I kind of miss that part, weekly activities in small groups so we get to learn and do a lot of things as 6 and 7 year olds.
