The husband is a big fan of Edgar Allen Poe.  You'd think it'd be me, the former English major, but I've always thought he was creepy.  Not so much for the stories he wrote, but because he married his teenaged cousin.  So a few weeks ago when I was in Michaels and saw a wrapped canvas of the dark one striding down the street with his redoubtable raven, I knew I had to get it for the husband.  Now it has pride of place in our living room, and I confess that I kind of like it!

One Halloweeny (is that a word?!) thing I have always loved is curating festive outfits.  If it's black, orange, purple, or green, then I have the best time making it kooky and spooky.  This year I was excited to bust out these asymmetrical striped tights.  I'll go against my better judgment (as I usually do!) and tell you how the sausage -- or, in this case, the sausage casing -- was made.  It's not one new pair of tights, but two old pairs.  I stuck one leg in one half of the yellow pair and one leg in one half of the orange, then tied the two extra legs at the back and bunched them under my conveniently poufy skirt.  It was more comfortable than I thought it'd be, what with the excess hosiery being so pillow-like.  Then again, I wasn't leaving my yard.

If only I could be so motivated about my actual Halloween costume.  But as always, I remain laser-focused on fun but unnecessary pursuits while procrastinating about the stuff that I need to get done.

Fellow Halloween partygoers, don't be surprised if I show up in a sheet. πŸ‘»

LOL..I know it would be a colorful sheet! So many amazing Halloween bobbles you have! I do love the tights. We do have a thing for striped socks this time of year at our house too! Love the necklace! Such dazzling outfits. So inspiring among the skulls and Poe!πŸπŸ˜½πŸŽƒπŸ˜½πŸ Thank you for the comments..oh, will I come up with any more scary short stories this month..hopefully! Yes, someone on Urstyle was having a High Gate Contest. Of course, my style was not anyone's liking, but I felt the need to write a short story. Thankfully, my HE CAME TO ART CLASS inspired a few to write so I was happy about that. And I was glad to finally settle on a faceclaim for Noah. Oh, you'd think I was on to write a novel..I wish. Thanks again for being here and OH SO INSPIRING!

Your entire post is adorable and love all your Halloween props ! For some reason, I am most fond of a black crow for Halloween- so I love that you have one! My favorites are the stockings and tights! Interesting that you created your own look by combining the two pairs ( not sure it would actually work for going out) but as you said, "I wasn't leaving my yard". Your outfits are adorable and I love the purple touch in many of them.Cute little pumpkin face necklaces too.

You two are really setting the Halloween mood! So many cool Halloween decor items! Of course, I'm trying my best to scheme plots here..hahahahaha.. I do love the sculls. Dunno if I would have the raven, but it is popular here, too. Speaking of which we had on in our back yard. Although, we think it must be mating season because he was calling his girlfriend up..hehehehehe...Thanks so much for your inspiring tights and more. So many cool outfits! Loving the bags too🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁Thanks for your comments. Oh, hopefully Liv and Felicity can all get along...(✿◕‿◕✿)(✿◡‿◡)(✿◕‿◕✿) Still I feel sure I need to update a few characters I have left behind. Thanks for your comments. Thanks so much for reading.

I'm absolutely blown away by your amazing, Halloweeny outfits, accessories and dΓ©cor!!! Black, orange, purple and green are amazing together - just like your outfit with those killer tights you creatively put together! I adore your butterfly sweater and cat purse. Also, I so enjoyed seeing the ring you bought from me - it looks so great with your outfit! The Edgar Allen Poe canvas is super cool, too. You've definitely captured the spirit of Halloween! πŸ’šπŸ–€πŸ’œπŸ§‘
