Gone Shoe Shopping: Mega Style (and Value!) from MetroStyle

A while back I photographed some shoes I'd bought from MetroStyle, wrote up a little blurb, and emailed it off to MetroStyle for inclusion on their blog. They published it, along with legions of testimonials from their other loyal shoppers :) I've bought more shoes from them since then and decided to send off another couple of paragraphs:

Pumps. Slingbacks. Peep toes. Mules. Espadrilles. T-straps. Wedges. Kitten heels. Loafers. Flats. Ballerinas. Mary Janes. Slides. Sneakers. Oxfords. Stilettos. Flip flops. Sandals. Slippers. Boots. Clogs. Booties. Ankle straps.

With so many styles to choose from, is it any wonder why women love shoes? Although I too am a sucker for style, I tend to be more swayed by colors, patterns, and embellishments. Color, in fact, was the chief element that sold me on these five pairs of candy-colored kicks from MetroStyle.  Drawn in by their faintly vintage vibe, I could easily picture the personality they'd lend to skirts, dresses, and jeans. Just today I wore the navy, orange, yellow, and white pair with a yellow blouse, white cardigan, navy skirt, and orange handbag. The cashier at the grocery store asked me where I "bought all my colors." "All over," I responded, adding, "I got the shoes from this catalog called MetroStyle." That pair just happens to be my favorite of the bunch; I'd had them bookmarked for weeks before buying them. (Although I'm not sure why I waited so long; at $16.99 they were a steal!) The colors and stripy straps remind me of something from the 1960s. Couldn't you just see them with a solid-colored swing dress and a big silver pendant?

I can't wait to visit the MetroStyle Web site again to see what new and exciting footwear awaits!

Thanks. I go out of my way to seek out the snazziness :) From visiting your blog, I know that you have lots of snazzy stuff too.

As for the collecting, it's a kind of disease. I have trouble climbing into my bed and doing my makeup at my dresser because of all the piled up shoe boxes . . .
