Girl Smiley Necklace
Fashion-wise, the '80s are a lot like the '50s. Both feature clean lines, candy colors, and a bent toward excess and fantasy. Which are, of course, all things that I love, as shown by this Grease-meets-Saved by the Bell aesthetic.
Speaking of which, there are few places more fabulously '50s than Lindy Hops. Last week, the husband and I made our first trip back since the pandemic, so I wanted to take some pics. Still, I felt a little silly, posing among the people purely there for the ice cream. But the husband said, "You have to own it," which helped me to relax. And I'm glad I did because nerves come and go, but photos are forever.
Now if only I could find a burger joint like The Max and relax all over again in leg warmers.

OK, so I came up with this Ari & Tristan notion when I found a pic that I just knew was Tristan, but then realized later it was actually the other actor. Although, I kept it as a Tristan pic which was a funny picture by the way.

Your Grease-meets-Saved By the Bell aesthetic is the coooolest!! The photoshoot in Lindy Hops is so sweet and cute, and I'm enamored by your necklaces! They're so gorgeous - the Sweetheart Stripe Necklace is my absolute favorite! You make a great point about the '50s and '80s correlation - I never thought of that! Wow! I was actually born in the 1950's !!! These are my kind of places! Your outfits are summery and adorable. I can relate to the photo taking - I do the same thing in places and often feel funny or like I need to explain myself. I'm sure no one even cares. Anyway the ice cream place had some great prop and colorful background.
