I'll be the first to admit that "Retro Rainbow" is a lazy title, despite -- or perhaps because of -- it being one I could use for most of my posts.  As you know, hardly an entry goes up without me getting all flowery about something Technicolor or nostalgic or both.  But in the last ten or so years, I've never once featured a skort.  That's right, that strange combination of shorts and skirt last seen in the '90s is back.  I found this pink and purple plaid one at -- where else? -- Kohl's, in the juniors section, last July.

At the time, it seemed so back to school, not at all right for beaches and BBQs (or a women who hasn't done homework since MySpace).  But I got it anyway, knowing it would be gone come September.  And then I blinked and it was October, and I was scrambling to squeeze it in before the first frost.  Yet such is fall and life -- and transitional wear.

So revel in your rainbows as long as you can, whether they be vintage-inspired or otherwise.  Because you never know when the universe -- or Mark Zuckerberg -- will make you bust out your umbrella.

Oh so fun! So many amazing necklaces in this one too! Adoring those boots in many flavors too! Awesome colors of the rainbow. Such a fun commentary too. Loved the last line with Mar ZuckerbergπŸ« πŸ’•πŸ«  Thanks for reading and commenting. Part of it was a tribute to so many youngsters I've met through the library who's lives I'm certain were changed by parents who went to faraway countries to adopt them. Yet..I must confess the beginning conversation started out from a spat I had with someone. Of course, I had him laughing.

Of course, so far the EXs I've written about ..you'd never want to get back together with..🫠

Ahhh, the skort!!! And in pink and purple, no less! It looks fantastic on you and the SHEIN tee is a great match! The floral boots are adorable and so are your fabulous necklaces (the balloon one is my favorite!) Your chocolate bar bag is so fun, and the pose with the large flower is the bee's knees. The purple socks with the strap stilettos is stunning! Your accessory shots are a rainbow of fun (I spy the PinkBopp rings!) and the shot of the bracelets are my favorite. The lime green tee with the pink tights is one of my favorite color combinations. Your rainbow wear will keep things bright in the fall/winter! :)

So many different styles in this post. I actually wear skorts all the time. I used to get them in Stein Mart before they went out of business during covid. My skorts are actually quite attractive despite being solid colors and a few prints. I also get shorts at Costco fro playing pickelball. Those spike heals with the fish net socks are a great look and I have to mention the Betsy Johnson hot pink heals d boots with the animal fabric look. Wild but I like them!
