Desert Charms Necklace
I whipped up this Desert Charms Necklace in an evening, which felt strange because it took me a week to complete my last project, the Large Smorgasbord Tote. Maybe that's why I enjoy making jewelry so much - the instant gratification! Anyhoo, when I imagined this piece it was as something called the Sunny Woods Necklace, which was made up of chunky green beads punched up by a sprinkling of yellow seed beads mimicking the effect of sunlight on leaves. But once I got going, I went full steam ahead with the yellow (I love yellow), and the necklace took on more of a southwestern persona. Surprisingly, the result exceeded my expectations. It's nice when that happens, huh?
