Junk Food Corsage Necklace
Pizza Party Bracelet
Food, fabulous food. So many of us are mesmerized by it, not only as something that keeps us alive, but as symbols of celebration and art. I got to thinking about this when Etsy seller The Paper Cupcake Shop hearted three of my food-themed totes this week. Here's what she has to say about the relationship between food and art in her Etsy profile:
"Much of my work focuses on food and the complex ways people (especially in the wealthy parts of the world) view it (you know, as symbol, art, political, commercial, emotional, social, taboo...more than just sustenance)."

Interesting, huh? Check out her drawings, by the way; they're amazing.
As a testament to my own (admittedly more shallow) ongoing love affair with food, I've crafted this trip of treats for your enjoyment. And yes, the dessert cup on the Snack Attack Corsage Necklace came from a JELL-O Temptations package! I grabbed one from the fridge the other day, looked at the yummy picture, and thought, wouldn't that make a nifty necklace?
Where do you find inspiration?

Bye bye dear :)

Thanks, Anna! I just checked out and followed your blog. How could I not love a blog devoted to shoes? I especially loved those acid-bright stilettos :)
