April showers bring May flowers.  Except when they bring more April flowers (I see you, tulips and lone daffodil) or spring ahead with a hint of summer (that's you, tiki hut hibiscus).  Not too long ago, in my ongoing ode to the Netherlands, I made a tulip barrette so disappointing that it had me metaphorically reaching for the weed killer instead of a watering can.  In case you forgot, here's what it looks like:

So I tried again and lucked out with this:

It's exactly the zigzag-topped-tulip triumph I'd pictured!  Hurray for persistent crafting.

Anyway, it's not just The Tote Trove that's busting out all over.  My yard is abloom with azaleas, rhododendrons, and some unknown flowering tree (despite having lived here for almost four years, this is the first time I noticed it!).  Like spring itself, they won't last long, so I'm happy I had the chance to enjoy them.

Next up, a meditation on crabgrass.

Oh, such lovely hairdos too! Beautiful floral outfits. Love the pop of yellow! So glad you continued on your journey of this tulip brooch too. Great Monday post, indeed. Thank you so much for your comments too. I greatly appreciate it. I love your writing too.

So many lovely outfits! Oh, if I could wear something so bright to work. But I work at a library that might as well be a nunery. Our director frowns upon color so it's great to see it here and those lovely brooches too!

Amazing floral in your wardrobe. Perfect for this post. I loved the last line about the crabgrass. It so made me laugh. All the best to your blog and your creativity!

eeeeeee!!!! I love everything about this post; you're like spring, personified! I love your side-bun hairstyle in the first photo, holding the big flower! Each outfit is beautifully spring-like with the perfect explosion of colors. The outfit with the banana bag makes me think of a tropical island! Really love the 80's-style floral blouse, too. Your pose in front of the purple tree is super cute! I can't get over how realistic that orange purse looks. Lastly, your accessories are fabulous; if these ever end up in your Etsy shop, I have a few I'd definitely love to buy!
