Smurf Turf: Bringing New Meaning to Blueheads

Headwrap: Mixit, JCPenney

Last week, I was deciding what to wear for a doctor's appointment when I noticed that the ground was frosty.  Wanting to be warm and comfy, I bundled up in my floral sweat suit (not just for running and reading!), fuzzy blue coat, and favorite headwrap, scarf, and gloves.  But by the time the husband and I arrived at the doctor's office, the sun was bright, and I felt like a boiled burrito.  Still, I kept my cold weather accessories on for a photo op by this boss blue sculpture.  This was a new doc, so I'd never seen the sculpture before and was psyched to match it.  It's the little things!

As they say (okay, as I say), one blue hat begets another.  So I fished out the others from the ice pond of my closet and styled them with dresses -- no examination required.

Sweat suit: LC Lauren Conrad, Kohl's

Palm Flings Necklace

Hat: Betsey Johnson, Macy's

Mesa Medallion Necklace

Dress: So, Kohl's

Bag: Mellow World, Kohl's

Hat: Mixit, JCPenney

Rainbow Cherries Necklace

Dress: Lily Rose, Kohl's

When I'm an old lady and my hair turns blue, I look forward to rocking red headgear.

Oh my..so pretty in blue. Love that tam too! Pretty yellow, blues and pinks!

I am so glad that outfit can be used for running and reading❤

Well..it's our weather alert day, but nothing much has happened with the snow. I'm still not quite done with Christmas shopping..but almost.

Thanks so much for your comments. I so appreciate them. Of course, as Christmas nears I find myself doubling up on posts. This means more sets to make and hopefully, I won't have any hangup getting the sets posted. Only one new character (which is actually an old character) coming back. But hopefully, I can get around to most everyone for the holidays.

Hope you are staying well and all is good for you guys. I am sure the holiday lights are up and all is very festive. Thanks so much for being here and thanks for posting the fabric pics, too!

I laughed out loud at “boiled burrito.“ Been there. I love the combination you’re wearing, but my absolute favorite is the blue tights with the yellow shoes. Perfect!

That's an absolutely AMAZING photo op!!! The blue hues are gorgeous; I love the blue theme of your outfits in this post. It's a great color on you, and perfect for winter! The coral sweater with the blue knit hat is my absolute favorite outfit! Beautiful necklaces also; the Rainbow Cherries is such a beautiful array of colors! Each necklace is a show-stopper. Blue hair with red headgear - now that's another show-stopper! :)

Your outfits are bright and colorful and you certainly look warm for that doctor appointment. The cherries neclklace caught my attention and the yellow shoes on the blue tights really stand out beautifully.

Rock the head gear, I say. I haven't worn hats in years, possibly decades. I went through a beret stage, and had page boy caps.
