Razzle Dazzle Rose Corsage Necklace

Once upon a time, I used to make something I called corsage necklaces.  They were kitschy collages of flowers and other feminine things mounted on felt and strung up with pretty beads.  You know, kind of like the corsages that girls used to get from their dates.  Only mine were fake, so they could last long after the chaperones were caught playing tonsil hockey.  Anyway, I think that Valentine's Day is the perfect time to showcase these tokens of nostalgic romance.  The corsage/dressage rhyme is just a happy accident -- I know that the d-word means horse dancing (thanks, Comcast commercial!).  Which is kind of fitting, considering those ornate Kentucky Derby hats and winner's wreaths.

So go for the gold and go for the bold.  In fashion or crafting or whatever makes you whinny.

Or, better yet, just chillax and enjoy Valentine's Day!

So many pretty things! Such great outfits! Love the pink sweater too! And those bags! Awesomeness. I love them all.

Nothing that exciting here. I did do my nails in various pinks and purples. I used Maybelline's quick gel so it was very quick and it still looks good today.

Oh, those are such precious trees!

Hope you had a great Valentine's day. I did get a box of candy, but you don't get as much candy as you used too.

Oh, the "Valentine Wish Story"..um..is actually a true story. Only it happened at Prom. Although, I didn't really know that the "best friend" wanted to take me to Prom until his cousin told me. Later, while I was at the Prom with the boyfriend who broke up with at Prom. I guess his cousin who was my poetry friend at the time wanted to tell me something good. Now that sounds even more funny..like poetry? Actually, we (his boyfriend and I would go to competitions for poetry readings).

Talk about being with the wrong guy...

You totally outdid yourself with your amazing Valentine's Day ensembles - which I knew would be fabulous!!! You always have the amazing gift of assembling things with amazing details and colors. I especially love how your mint green bow matches your BAIT shoes! The corsage necklaces are stunning and oh so nostalgic as you mentioned; they definitely resemble corsages! I also love the black chokers and the love heart necklace. Lastly, I totally can picture you making your own décor for your wedding; the topiary trees are so beautiful and creative!
