Ninety-nine percent of the outfits I wear in these posts include things I've worn or would wear in public.  Then there's the other one percent, which is where this candy boxful of rainbow hair comes in:

I ordered these clips (which are, by the way, for children) from Amazon almost a year ago, and they've been sitting on my dresser ever since.  Then, not too long ago, I got the idea to team them with my most voluminous kimono and Jessica Simpson sandals for festival vibes.  And it turned out to be exactly what I was going for, Lady Lovely Locks crashes Coachella.

So, why then, wouldn't I wear this look to the post office or Hobby Lobby or Rita's?  I'm not sure, but it might have something to do with the fact that in all of my forty years, I've never, ever colored my hair.  Not even just highlights or for Halloween.  Despite my love of color, I've always been content with my natural dark brown and felt no need to mess with it.  But with each passing day and brand new white strand, I know that that era is ending.  Before long, I'll be checking out boxes of DIY dye, trying to figure out if I'm more of a September Siena or Chocolate Chicory.  And I think, in its way, that that'll be fun -- if also a little scary.  Maybe playing with these pixie tails (to use the official Lady Lovely Locks term) is my way of testing the tress waters.

Because the answers to all of life's questions lie deep in the archives of '80s pop culture.

Oh, I love the clips of hair. Fabulous! I love the kimono too! The last one I got I picked up at HyVee (a grocery store) Such a spectacular post! Lovely summer looks, indeed ❤️πŸ’•πŸ’πŸ’•❤️ Thank you so much for your comments. Oh... well, on one hand..maybe Jay hasn't changed at all, but then again he probably has. And Lindy well, it has felt like a journey writing about her. While Alfie, I think there are a lot of us like Alfie and those around those people don't even realize how much they are drinking. I guess I was inspired by Harry's 'grape-juice blues' to. Yes, I feel a little bad that Poppy never mentioned it, but then again, I think many maybe be in that same boat. Trying to tell themselves it's not a problem and yet it is. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ P.s..oh, I have been wanting pink hair, but it never turns out like I wanted..so I broke down and just ordered a wig from Amazon. Of course, it's from China, and it is nice. So was the packaging..and I got a sweet little not and false eyelashes too. So if the hair color doesn't work out..there are always wigs.

Love the hair with the color clips. Wow, So fabulous! And such an adorable necklace too. I love the name for it, as well. So cool to see your post! Love your footwear along with all those stunning bags! I hope you are having a fabulous weekend!πŸ’πŸ’•πŸ’πŸ’•πŸ’πŸ’•πŸ’πŸ’• Funny, how the 'stalker' on that site made me think of "Nonnie" which also made me think of guys like Weezer I used to know who I would think only go out with the 'elite' just to find out I was way off about them. And Alex..he just needs a transformation. Maybe. Thanks so much for your comments and your inspirations too!

Oh, this is brilliant! I love the colors in your hair! Such amazing outfits! Truly inspiring. Such amazing accessories too! So lovely! Great Summer Love! Maybe hubby will help you with the hair color...=)πŸπŸ§πŸ‚πŸ§πŸ Thanks for your comments. Yes, Carrie is shy, but not about cooking..and maybe she'll figure out who Liam really is, too. I felt she came from a family where everyone had to look up to the 'males' in the family, which was a lot like it was when I was growing up. Still, there are some sibling who feel like a fan of the other from a very young age, but I have a feeling Carrie knows her brother better than she even knows.

The hair clips! Oh, YES!!!! Having spent three years (not consecutively) of my life as a bald woman, I never hesitate to color my hair any color that happens to suit me at the time. That said, these lovely, colorful additions would make things much easier. Love these!

Agghhhhh!!!!! I love everything about this post! First off, your colorful hair clip-ins are SO CUTE! You totally rock them, and they compliment your fashion style perfectly. The kimono with it flowing out behind you is an iconic photo! Your accessories are gorgeous; the Sweet Squad Necklace is my absolute favorite (*Squeals*)! The bohemian dress with your necklace and hair clips is stunning. Your accessory shots are, as always, an amazing photoshoot! The floral dress with the orange accessories is so summery and cute (love the back cut-out of the dress!) Your hair clips in the Dove box is the perfect holder. Last but not least, I totally get what you mean about never coloring your hair. In fact, I only began coloring my hair about a year ago, when I started getting a lot of grays! That's cool you made it to forty before having to think about coloring it. Have fun testing the tress waters with your clip-ins! :)

The more I scrolled the more I found to love in this post! I just came back from Cape Cod, Mass where whale tales are the subject of everything in the little Cape shops, and here is is again in such a lovely necklace. I love the dress and the print in the Kohl's Speechless outfit. As far as dying my hair- I've got 30 years on you and have never dyed my hair and despite just last year starting to see more gray strands, I'm still mostly brown!
