You heard me, autumn.  Stand down with your corduroy and football and pumpkin-spiced everything!  I'm not ready for cool air and dark skies and the sad slide of all the green things turning brown.  (And it goes without saying that I'll never be ready for football.)  No, I'm still squeezing the last bit of juice out of summer -- as evidenced by these outfits (or, as the kids are calling them, fits), at least one of which includes lemons.

But enough of my caterwauling.  It's time to talk about my favorite oldie but goodie pieces in this post.  The first is the red Candie's dress, which I've had a few years.  Maybe you remember it.  It's simple, but I like the fit and color, and it has a slightly retro feel.  Still, the real star is my looks-like-it's-thrifted-but-is-actually-from-Marshalls Loop bird bag.  It was ever so slightly mangled (bent sequins, a little hanger grease on the plastic), when I wrestled it from the racks twenty years ago, but that only made it more precious.  Which is why I've styled it here and here and here and here  . . .

Fall or not, it's one bird that keeps flying.

Oh, I am sure you wear a lot of these pieces through most of October these days. It seems the last few years fall just isn't here and then suddenly winter. Such romantic tops and I LOVE the dress and those amazing brooches of yours. Great name for the necklaces too! Awesome Summer outfits 💕❤️🍁🍂☕ Thanks so much for your comments. Oh, maybe Jay is learning a lot about himself too. I finally finished the "murder" drama that I had been watching. Oddly, I wasn't sure who got murdered. But I guess what I liked best about the show was how the main characters changed over the course of 12 episodes, but all along the theme was fated to meet and to be together even if times were bad.

Oh, I adore that blue heart bag sooooo much! Loving the yellow and the red in these pieces. Such amazing shoes too! I love how that blossom brooch is made too. Such a great post of goodies to savor! Yes, I am not ready for pumpkin spice anything. I don't like football either. Plus, I live in a state where a coach who can't win a football game can still get fired and get over a million dollars.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Thank so much for your comments. Yes, it was great to find this Wuxia drama!

Everything is so cute! Love the off the shoulder yellow top! I am ready for fall especially since I can only enjoy it for a very short time and then off to Florida. Looking forward to pumpkins, apple cider, and a few sweaters!

These looks definitely give autumn the cold shoulder and tells it to keep back!! The summer vibes are rolling still with these cute looks; I love the way you tied the red hair tie in the first one! The Red Striped Blossom Barrette Brooch is super pretty and has peppermint vibes. The parrot blouse is adorable, and that shot of the yellow shoe with the accessories...!!! Looks like it should be artwork hanging on a wall. Finally, your necklaces are so much fun; the dice theme is so cute and the way you have the barrette on top of your head is ADORABLE! I'm not ready for the colder days and early dark skies yet either, so thanks for stretching out summer for us readers. :)
