Um, feather weather?  Tote Trove Lady, didn't you mean sweater weather?  No, dear readers, I did not.  Feather weather is how I like to think of November.  You know, when the first breath of cold blows in and the leaves are falling and the birds have headed south, leaving only their punky plumage as a reminder.  Which fits right in with Thanksgiving as kindergartners all over the country adorn themselves with colorful feathers.  Or, less imaginatively, buckles and bonnets.  Let's be honest; being a Native American is much cooler than being a Pilgrim.  Even if my seventh grade social studies teacher summed up the historical inaccuracies of Disney's Pocahontas thusly: "Also, she (Pocahontas) wasn't that pretty."

On that note, here's a little feathered friend who's indisputably cute.  It's none other than an eastern goldfinch (the New Jersey state bird!) that the husband glimpsed through my parents' window this summer:

Now that he's gone, I miss him.  Because when it comes to the colors of the wind, yellow is always my favorite.

Oh, you do know how to put a twist on November. It is absolutely BOOT weather here. The winds have kicked in and I thought I lost my rug. Yeah, I kind of did a little cleaning and took it outside, but then I couldn't find it for 3 days. I was so certain it ended up in somebody's yard. But no, just fell in the grass and was covered in leaves. So definitely don't take your rug outside kind of weather here.

So ADORING your necklaces. And I love the FEATHER top! I really like the feather concept! Such great outfits! Love the shorts and stockings style too!

Well..thanks for getting through the Jory fury! Yes, they did get married in Florida and I am sure Rachel questions this every day..why did I do that? Of course, one can only speculate why one does what one does..especially to family. Of course, I might throw in a few other uncomfortable bits, too. And as always "abortion" is always controversial..but add in some moments with Mick and Jools and Simon a Chevy and it all kind of balances out. Before you know it, no one even notices Jay is gone and who is Lenny..anyway?

I am trying to get around to everybody.

Hope the tires are good and you guys have a fabulous week. I am supposed to be cleaning house, but I haven't done much.

Oh, so many fabulous outfits! Love those boots! Such bold color. Adoring the finch too. We don't have any yellow ones around here. I had never thought about "Feathers" but I love what you have done. Even funnier is how the teacher said Pocahontas wasn't pretty. Maybe men really do love Wild Girls. Especially, those who love to explore the wilderness.

Well...as I might have mentioned..there will be some changes..in the storylines and some will not be all on board with it. November brings family together, but of course, there are problems. Oh..Mario. It is interesting how he is far different from Caitlin. In spite of being family-oriented. He's not so sure how to start his own. Of course, LaLa has always been indifferent..somehow. Thanks so much for reading! Thank you for your comments ❤

Such glorious color! I admire the necklaces so much. So inspiring. I don't think I have anything with feathers in my wardrobe. I am happy to hear you didn't get sick from that ride last week. I hope you are having a happy weekend full of inspiration. I hope you have a fantastic Thanksgiving.

Thanks so much for being here. Oh, I so adore that updo with the scrunchies too! I should try that!

Thanks for reading! & I always look forward to your comments! Happy November!

VERY INSPIRING Post! Love the top and skirt in the first photo. Love LOVE the mermaid charm! Charming bags too! What a great belt for the season, too! Such a great floral in yellow too! Thanks for this!

I have to admit it's been fun with the Amber & Max restart. Although, it's not really pandemic-ridden. Somehow, I have been getting responses..oh that's so scary. Or..who would buy food from a gas station? These were places I knew of, while growing up in Texas.

I accidentally came across a 2010 Colleen Hoover book and I like it so far. I had tried a few of her others, but I wasn't smitten by any of the characters.

Actually, at the library, somebody brought back the book who had had it for a whole year.

You do make the best of yellow! So truly. Love the red in your outfits too. Oh, such sweet feather necklaces! Now, if I could only think to dress up at Thanksgiving. We are hosting and I am certain I might end up in my PJs when everyone arrives.

Oh, it's funny how this one actor I am certain is so short, but he's so skinny too. I just had to mention that between Jay and Jared. Although, I doubt Jared is all that tall either. I finally, decided to move on. Why not have a Thanksgiving episode. Of course, it's Sal's Thanksgiving

I love birds and consider myself a novice bird watcher. The goldfinch is beautiful - not sure I've even seen the completely yellow finch like that one. We have a bird feeder that is always attacked by squirrels and has become a squirll feeder. Love your feather necklace and your feather themed outfits. My favorite - your red door and your interesting colorful outfits.

First off, I love your yellow tights (I wore mine with an outfit today!) and the hot air balloon purse is super cute!!! I'm loving the feather theme of this post, from your top to your necklace, to the feathery friend at the end of this post! That's so cool that it's the state bird, too. The cactus sweater is perfect with the belt, and I love the blue tights with the pink shorts and boots! The yellow dress is beautiful and the mermaid charm is so pretty. Feather weather sounds cool and I've definitely found some feathers lying around in my own backyard that proves it is indeed feather weather! You definitely know how to turn it into a style of its own. 😀

I can't believe scrunchies have come back around again. I had them in 1989, they came around about 15 years later, and then again last year. Still got mine from all those years ago, but with short hair, who's going to wear them? Probably my Cabbage Patch kid.
