Every fall, big, bad plaid shakes down summer's palm fronds and florals to reclaim its crown.  Thankfully, this Delia's daisy crop top escaped unscathed:

It reminds me of another photo-print style top I had in the '90s, only that one was of a sunflower.  At first, I didn't like the photo-print plant trend.  I guess you can say it grew on me.

Speaking of tenacious flora, today I scored these two "gothic garden" (yes, that's what the tag said) faux roses for $3.50 at Michaels.

If you look closely, then you can see the ghosts of gray and gold accents tinging the petals.  Although to be fair, I leached most of them out during editing.  Also in the interest of fairness, Michaels had straight-up gray roses, too, but I said thanks but no thanks.  I'm guessing none of the colors were creepy enough to count as Halloween décor.  Which is a shame because they make me think of that glam ghost story where the prom queen hitches a ride only to return to the graveyard.  Then again, others' haunted house theme losses are my (hopefully) unhaunted house's gain:

These potted pretties go perfectly in my office, already at home with the husband's dragon and my year-round reindeer.  Now I'm just a perfume spritz away from taking the time to stop and smell the undead roses.

At least until December when the take-no-prisoners tartans come out in full force.

I definitely am attracted to polka dots over plaids. I love the shoes and jeans perfect match and the polka dots in the jewelry as well. Blacks and reds call my name and the touch of yellow adds that"Je ne said quo"!

Oh, what a sweet little corner of the room! In love with the photo pic shirt, too. Although, I am not sure I would have the confidence to wear it..although, I did wear my pink tee that I made at the maker's space it's a poster from Word of Honor (the second couple so to speak) and some one asked about it while I was at Natural grocers.

Love the plaid pink and more. Such cool red plaid jean fabric too. Love how your accessories! We had such a warm weekend, but it's getting colder again.

Maybe Misty's pregnancy was just a distraction..hahahaha..I had been thinking about it happening and it just felt this was time. And of course, Slater doesn't have Jay on his mind. Although, I feel I festered a lot more things to come from different stories I have started. Perhaps it's the November effect..hard to say. Thanks so much for reading and your comments. Funny, how everyone kept noting how sick Slater was.

On another note, I found out last night our Children's lib. is in the hospital with COVID. She's vaccinated. Her daughter who works at a daycare and her boyfriend have it too. Also her assistant and best friend are not in quarantine too. I hope I make it through this week. I am to make a jello strawberry pie for someone. Lets hope I don't mess that up.

Such amazing necklaces to go with your outfits! Love those blue pumps. And such a fabulous flower tee. Yes, bring out the plaid! Yet I seem to have more floral than plaid. Yet, I have two ill-fitted plaid shirts..somewhere in a clump clothes. Beautiful post!

Perhaps Pixie might understand people better than we might think, yet I feel she's been so close to situations that maybe she doesn't know either. But just when she felt comfortable enough to confide in someone..he's leaving. Maybe Roman is a better friend than anything. Although, he's under a lot of pressure himself. Possibly those who are pressuring him don't even think they are pressuring him since it might be more of learned family behavior more than anything. Or an excuse.

Thanks again for all your fabulousness! Thanks for being you!

Love that little corner of sweet things. Even the flowers. What a cool reindeer! Loving the bright plaids too. Oh, I'm eagerly awaiting to see what December has to offer...=)

It's funny, how I felt I had written so much in the last post..just to notice..it wasn't much. Granted "Corrine" is a semi-devil who really isn't all that smart, because her reality is just to hurt people. Yet, it feeds on her ultimate goal to take down this sister who might not be biological, but since they were raised together and the Chinese often refer to each other as brother and sister..which is interesting in a universal sense because it is a very old custom..which might be religious in some cultures but I have a feeling "family" is important even in this world. Sorry, I'm so long winded. But as Corrine says, "lets be sisters.." Milo sees this as a bad idea yet he knows she must have some sort of plan in mind. Of course, one might wonder..what does ChaCha think of him now.

Thanks for your comments!

Such great finds at Michael's. Funny, I seldom get to go, but I have a JoAnn's nearby where Micael's used to be. I am always looking in the clearance aisle. Of course, it is always interesting to see the crafts trending too. Oh, I do a lot of Christmas shopping on that aisle too..mainly for co-workers. I am so adoring these plaids. And I love the mixes. Wonderful Monday post!

Actually, I wasn't going to bring in Cara, but she is someone Jody has always looked up to since she is the sister (in spite of being a step-sister) that Jody always wanted. Of course, Jody really hasn't done anything yet. Although, I feel she might drink more than she should. Of course, Cara has her own history with the family, too.

Your posts are always so colorful and fun. I love all of the shoes here, but honestly, I think my lack of wearing shoes during the pandemic has caused my feet (and other things, alas) to get bigger. I can't wear half of my shoes any longer!

What a cool print on the crop top!! I love how bright and vivid it is. Your new necklaces are beauties; each has its own little personality and brilliant color scheme. I'm definitely excited for tartan season ahead!! That striped pink and black blouse is totally beautiful. The faux roses are such a lovely pink, and the perfect addition to your amazing office! Just looking at the office space, I can see it's totally you. 😃
