Purple Reign: Wistful for Wisteria

No, I'm not talking about the decades-old drama of Desperate Housewives.  Although maybe I should be, because that was a great show.  I'm talking about this wisteria vine that I saw wrapped around a telephone pole wire on Mother's Day.  Spring flowers being what they are, it's probably long gone by now.  But the sight of it and its spirit stay with me.  I love it when something that's supposed to be frail stakes its claim somewhere it was told it shouldn't be.

Huh.  Maybe I'm talking about housewives (and women) after all.

That said, don't get me started on pansies.

It's always great to see how plants can grow and take over something, but then again..sometimes, it can be a headache too. Although, I love your commentary in this one ๐Ÿ’•❤️๐ŸŒธ We noticed this year the dandelion crop wasn't nearly the same as it has been in the past in our favorite place to gather them which then starts the process of dandelion wine that is ready by Christmas. Of course, we haven't had the rain..until last week. Then, it seems more pesticides are in full force and may have taken care of those nutritious but pesky flowers. ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒธ Hope you guys have a beautiful holiday weekend. Thanks so much for inspiring my collages and your comments. I do appreciate it. Thanks for being here and you are always full of surprises too!

When I saw this, it made me think of an old farmhouse near my grandparents and how the vegetation had taken over the whole house. It was a bit eerie. It's amazing where some plants thrive. Awesome photo!>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Well, I guess my last post was a little hard to explain where Alex is coming from. Since I'm trying my best to alternate stories and hope I can keep it balanced..which I hope won't be too annoying. Although, I know in romantic languages it must be mind-boggling wondering what do I mean with those pronouns. But it is trending..even at Panera when the cashier has all the pronouns on their name tag. Hope you have a blissful holiday.

Awesome photo! Oh, so green and beautiful there. We are suddenly seeing vegetation about here after a long week of rain, which was much needed. This has been such a tragic week in the news. It was almost as if someone staged this whole thing right before the NRA convention. A part of me thinks of something out of a creepy sci-fi story of mind control, but that sounds impossible, as well. Of course, I have wanted to write about it. And maybe I am with this story. Thanks so much for being here. Here's to happy inspiration with more amazing creativity!

Oh, I love how you get back to nature. Such a great post! Yes, it is always interesting to take in the little things that many of us overlook. This was a beautiful find. And I love what you said about it. It gives me more to think on. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Thanks so much for your comments. THE LADY VANISHES came in as a donation at the library. Of course, when I think of mystery I do think of Alfred Hitchcock! I loved your story about you and your sister watching his show. He really did set the standard for mystery and horror. And I did finish up the Japanese drama which of course left me wanting more.

Such a cool and interesting post. Oh, those Desperate Housewives..such a spin you put on this one. Such fun! And to find this on Mother's Day. Such a great title to the post, too. ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒธ Thanks for checking back with the Cherry Blossom story! Of course, it might always be a mystery to the two of them, even in such an evil world. Thanks for blogging. Thanks for reading and commenting too!

This is such a pretty flower and it's so nice seeing it reaching to the sky like that, I can see why you had to stop and snap a photo of it :)

Hope you are having a good weekend :) We are enjoying the sunshine after so many rainy weeks!

Thank so much for your comments. I hope you had a great weekend. I am afraid, I celebrated too hard..most with strawberry cake. I was amazed it turned out so well (strawberry jello poke cake actually with cool whip frosting!) Oh, just too many burgers and hotdogs...hopefully, I won't wander too far from the Cori and Megan story...since there a few other stories to get to. Hope you are finding some good reads too. It seems we are back to the humidity of summer here.

That wisteria is gorgeous!!! Love that beautiful shade of purple, and I adore the analogy you made regarding women at the end! ;) I remember seeing some episodes of Desperate Housewives back in the day! I liked it!

Oh, I go way back with those Jello chocolate cream pies! My favorite. When I was in high school in a play, I played a part where I had to put a pie in someone's face. Needless to say, he was my crush. Although, I was just comic relief. So of course, when Dean told me what kind of pie he liked..I made the quickest one I could. And I made several. Thank goodness for Chocolate Jello pudding and cool whip!
