Reinventing the Rainbow

Top: Mossimo, Target; Skirt: LC Lauren Conrad, Kohl's; Shoes: Lucky Brand, Zulily; Bag: Amazon; Woven belts: Belt is Cool, Amazon; Skinny belt: Izod, Marshalls; Floral bangle: Decree, JCPenney; Yellow and striped bracelets: Amrita Singh, Zulily; Sunglasses: So, Kohl's; Chartreuse clip: Wild Fable, Target; Tulip clip: SHEIN

Most of my life, I've thought of rainbows as residing firmly in the realm of the sparkly.  I blame this on Lisa Frank and, to an extent, My Little Pony.  So, when more rustic rainbows with ragged cream "clouds" came on the scene, I was like, what?!  No princess would ever slide down that thing!  But, as with so many trends, those boho bands of color eventually wrapped themselves around my heart.  And before I knew it, I was purchasing my very own ragged rainbow pendant to use in an enormous necklace.  Two rows of fruit beads later, and the Rustic Rainbow Necklace was born (like I'd call it anything else!).  Its hint of hippie vibe says, "I'm fun -- but I also have a social conscience."

What more could I -- or Lisa Frank -- want?

The necklace seems to be perfect for that dress! Brings everything together. I love rainbows and never cease to be fascinated when I see one in the sky. They are magical looking. I've always like rainbows and often sit down and start to draw them using magic markers. I find it relaxing.

So inspiring! Adoring the necklace! I like how you added the fruit beads to this. Very sweet! Such a cool rainbow too! And I love the outfit! Love how the belts perfect this outfit with the necklace! Great outfit! Love the shoes!>>>>>>> Oh, I made yesterday's post much bigger than I anticipated. First, when I worked the weekend I saw the May Mystery display. Then yesterday at work someone mentioned the paranormal thing. & thanks for reminding me the Ethan & Uma thing. Thankfully, it's not as bad Johnny & Amber, but I think it would be difficult living with an artist like Ethan especially when you might be asking yourself..What art? But I have to tell you, I had no idea that was even Ethan in the movie. Everyone had a bit of a thick accent and my friend was always asking me, "What was he saying?" & Bjork shows up very mysteriously..too. It was an accident I went to the film. It was my friend's daughter who wanted to go and she hated it.

Oh, it's those little touches in this outfit that makes everything go pop. & I also thank you for having those fabrics to help my sets have that "pop" too. Thanks for your comments. Possibly, you have noticed I have a new Liv. & although, Alex might be the Drama Queen well...I thought it might be nice for this person to meet someone. Of course, it brings me back to my own memories of finding that perfect guy (Usually, the guy who took the groceries to the car) in the grocery store that I usually made myself a fool over. Add my mother to the mix and suddenly all is wrong with the universe. Hope your May is off to a great start! Such a fantastic Rustic Rainbow!

Thanks so much for the comments. Oh, Dimi might be her own worst enemy. Always a bit melancholy. She might be one of those who is expecting a fairytale, yet if she had it she probably wouldn't like it. But at the moment she feels like the last girl standing. Even if she has someone like Bishop. Yes, I thought that fabric looked like flowers too 💕❤️💖 Oh, and for Casey. I feel bad not mentioning his "dad" side. Although, I think of him as a good brother yet I feel it's his way of letting go when it comes to Lynsey. Although, I have a feeling his family will press the issue that he needs to have time with his son, and of course, they want to be grandparents. Of course, I didn't want Casey to be all alone, either.

What a beautiful outfit!!! Your ability to accessorize so artistically never ceases to amaze me. Your Rustic Rainbow necklace is a real piece of art - who knew there were rustic rainbows out there! I agree that Lisa Frank and My Little Pony bring to mind all the sparkles. I love this unique kind of rainbow of yours! :)
